1-2-3-B-B-Q Slaw Burger

Pairs well with:

White Merlot

Imagine sipping a lighter Merlot. This fresh, pale-pink wine is a nice change from traditional red or white wines.

Ingredients

1 16 oz. bag Classic Cole Slaw mix
1 cup mayonnaise
1 pouch Italian dressing and recipe mix
2 tbs. Colavita White Balsamic Vinegar
3/4 cup Snyders Garlic Bread Nibbler Pretzels
1/2 cup Kraft Hickory Smoke Barbecue Sauce
1/3 cup Sutter Home White Merlot Wine
3 cloves crushed garlic
1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1 tsp. crushed black peper
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
vegetable oil to brush on grill
6 Martins potato rolls

 

Instructions

– Start by making Cole Slaw. Mix bag of slaw mix, mayo, season mix, and vinegar together. Set aside for burger topping. – Pre-heat gas grill on med-high heat. – Place pretzels in food processor and finely chop, place in large bowl. – Add barbecue sauce, wine, garlic, salt and pepper to pretzels. Mix well. – Mix in beef and pork. – Seperate and shape into 6 burgers. – Brush grill with veg. oil. – Cook burgers 3-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. – During last minute of cooking, place rolls face down on grill. – Remove rolls and burgers, and placing one burger on each roll. – Top each burger with heaping spoon of cole slaw. – After consuming burger, lick fingers clean!!!
