5 Star Burger

You won’t need a bouquet of flowers when you share our Pinot Grigio. This crisp wine with floral aromas is a wonderful way to make an entrance.


1 medium onion
1 tsp. olive oil
2 tsp. butter
1 cup balsamic vinegar
2 Lbs. ground beef sirloin
1 1/2 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
1 tsp. fresh ground melody pepper corns
6 slices gouda cheese
fig jam
6 french rolls cooking spray



Heat grill. Slice onion into thin slices. In non-stick skillet add olive oil and butter heat until melted. Add onions cook over medium heat until carmelized approx. 30 min. In a small sauce pan, add 1 cup balsamic vinegar cook over medium heat until reduced to half approx. 20 min. Place ground beef sirloin in bowl add salt and peppers. Mix and form into 6 patties. Spray grill with cooking spray cook burgers util desired doneness. In the last few minutes of cooking the burgers, place gouda cheese slices on burgers util melted. Slice french rolls and toast lightly. Spread fig jam on one side of toasted bun drizzle reduced balsamic vinegar on other half of bun. Place burger on bun top with carmelized onions.
