To prepare the toppings- Slice the cheese a little thicker than deli sliced cheese and large enough to cover the bun. Slice the tomatoes and lettuce to equal size. Have the sliced wickles ready to top the burgers. To cook the patties Place the patties on the grill and cover.Cook 7 to8 minutes on each side for medium doneness. Add sliced cheese 2 minutes before they are done. For charcoal grills, 2 minutes before they are done remove from direct heat heatand cook and additional 5 minutes, then add the cheese cook for 2 more minutes. This will add a little more smoke flavor. Remove from grill and prepare. For the buns, put on the grill 7 to 10 minutes before the burgers are done and remove at the same time.
