Olive Oil, for grill.
1 lb. Ground Round
.5 lb. Ground Sirloin
1.5 Tbsp salt
1.5 Tbsp freshly ground pepper
2 Tbsp. Worchestershire Sauce
6 thick slices Chedder Cheese
6 thick slices white cheddar cheese
6 Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns, preferably with Sesame Seeds, lightly toasted.
1/2 c. Veganaisse or preferred Mayonaisse.
6 slices green leaf lettuce.
2 Large Heirloom Tomatoes, sliced into 3 slices each and lightly salted.
6 very thin slices of vidalia onion.
1/2 c. Ketchup, or preferred brand.
Preheat Grill to Medium/Hot When heated, brush grill with olive oil. For the patties: Mix the Ground Round, Ground Sirloin, salt, pepper, and worchestershire sauce in a bowl until just combined. Form into 6 even patties, sized just larger than buns. Cook until medium-well, flipping halfway through, about 7-8 minutes per side. 3 minutes before the patties are fully cooked, add 1 piece of orange cheddar and one piece of white cheddar to each patty. Close the grill and allow the cheese to melt. Remove patties from grill. Split hamburger buns and grill lightly, about 2 minutes. Remove from grill and set on a plate. To Assemble: On the bottom buns, spread a layer of mayonaisse. Next, place the patty on the bottom bun. Add one lettuce leaf, one tomato slice, and one onion slice to each pattie. On the top bun spread more mayonaisse and the ketchup. Top burger with top buns, serve and enjoy!
