American Teriyaki Burger

Pairs well with:

White Merlot

Imagine sipping a lighter Merlot. This fresh, pale-pink wine is a nice change from traditional red or white wines.


1 1/2 Lbs. 80% ground beef
6 full tbs of shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup Teriyaki marinate
6 sliced potato rolls



Divide beef into 6-4oz. balls, work a hole into each ball and push 1 full tbs of cheddar cheese into the hole. Proceed to pinch hole closed and toss around in hand to create a large meatball,(with cheese enclosed) Place each meatball in a burger press, and gently form each burger. Put Teriyaki marinate into a Pyrex pie plate, then carefully place burgers into the marinate. After a few minutes,swish around, and carefully turn burgers in marinate, cover with a plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for 1/2 hour. Turn over in marinate once more, before putting on a grill set for med hot …For med done burgers Grill for 7-8 min on each side….Place on roll and serve……….
