Ingredients

3 lbs. ground sirloin
2 large red beets
1 container sunflower sprouts (alfalfa sprouts can be substituted)
1 small can julienned beets (juice needed)
1/2 cup shredded smoked Gouda cheese
1 package ranch dressing or bottled
6 soft kaiser rolls
Olive oil
Salt and pepper to season

 

Instructions

Heat grill to 350 or LLL
Peel beets and cut into 6 1/4 in. thick rounds
baste with olive oil and salt and pepper
grill beets for 15/20 minutes until just aldente
While beets are grilling make 12 thin sirloin patties
Make ranch dressing to package directions, or buy bottled
Toss lightly 1 package sprouts , 1/2 cup julienned beets, 1/2 cup shredded smoked gouda and 1cup ranch dressing in a bowl and chill
Remove beets from grill
Baste Kaiser rolls with olive oil
Place beet rounds on sirloin patty and cover with second patty and press edges
Grill patties 4/6 minutes per side seasoning with salt and pepper during cooking
Just before patties are done grill kaiser rolls till crispy and lightly browned
Place meat patty on bottom bun, and top with sprout/beet mixture and then top with second bun piece.
