Awesome Abiquiu Burger

Every pour of our Pinot Noir brings you a delicious blend of berry flavors and the romantic aroma of violet.


Meat Mixture:
1.5 lb freshly ground chuck beef
1 whole large egg
1 tbs olive oil, extra virgin
1/4 cup fresh lime juice (1 to 2 limes)
1/4 cup fresh finely chopped cilantro
1/4 cup finely chopped pine (pinon) nuts, unsalted
1.5 tsp sea salt
1.5 tsp chipolte chili pepper
2 fresh garlic clove pressed or finely chopped
1/4 cup fresh finely chopped parsley
1 tsp. freshly chopped oregano
1 tsp cumin
dark green leaf lettuce
sliced ripe red tomato
sliced ripe Haas avocado
Bun; cracked wheat
Grill: Olive oil spray



Take meat from refrigerator and place in glass bowl. Add egg and olive oil and mix well. Press or finely chop 2 fresh garlic cloves and place aside. Cut limes in half , remove seeds, squeeze fresh juice into cup and measure out 1/4 cup. Add to meat. Mix well. Add finely chopped pine nuts. Mix well. Add 1.5 tsp sea salt,1.5 tsp chipolte chilli pepper and 1 tsp cumin . Mix well. Finely chop cilantro, oregano, parsley. Add 1/4 cup of cilantro and parsley each. Mix well. Add 1 tsp fresh oregano. Mix well. Add prepared garlic cloves. Mix well. Form into six appx. equal size burgers. Cover and place in refrigerator until ready to grill. Prepare green leaf lettuce, sliced tomato and avocado, Cover and set in refrigerator until ready to serve. Clean gas grill and rack. Remove rack and spray both sides well with olive oil spray and set to side. Light grill and heat on high for 3 minutes. Place rack on grill and place prepared burger patties on grill and seer on high for 2 minutes. Lower heat to low medium heat , close lid and cook for 2 to 3 minutes and flip and cook other side for 2 to 3 minutes with lid closed. Check internal temperature with thermometer as you want it to reach 160 or higher. Warm cracked wheat bun. Place lettuce, tomato, avocado on bun, add burger and enjoy.
