Bacon Blue Cheese Burgers

Ingredients:

2 pound ground sirloin
1/3 cup minced onion
1cup blue cheese crumbles1/4 cup pre cooked bacon crumbles
1 tablespoon minced fresh basil
1 /4 cup Mayo.
Spray Pam for the grill
12 avocado slices
6 (4 1/2-inch) soft whole wheat hamburger rolls
6 romaine lettuce leaves
6 (1/4-inch-thick) large tomato slices

Instructions:

Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover, or preheat a gas grill to medium-high.To make the patties, combine the sirloin, onion, blue cheese crumbles, bacon crumbles, and basil, in a large bowl. Mix well. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and form the portions into patties to fit the rolls. When the grill is ready, spray with Pam for the grill. Place the patties on the rack, cover, and cook, turning once, until done to preference, 5 to 7 minutes on each side for medium. To assemble the burgers on each roll bottom place a patty, then a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, dobble of Mayo and 2 avocado slices. Add the roll tops and serve. Makes 6 burgers.
