Bacon, Blue Cheese, Spinach Burger

Ingredients

2 pounds ground chuck
4 cups fresh spinach, chopped
1/2 cup Olive Oil(Colavita Extra Virgin)
1 1/2 tsp fresh garlic, crushed with a garlic press
1 Tbs Dejon mustard 
3/4 cup crushed prezels (Snyders of Hanover unsalted mini prezels) 3/4 cup crumbled Blue Cheese (
3/4 cup crumbled Bacon
1/2 cup Merlot (Sutter Home)
2 tsp Sea salt
2 ripe Avacado's
6 large Romaine lettuce leaves
1 bag of Chips (Kettle lightly salted krinkle cut chips)
6 Hamburger Buns or Kaiser Rolls

 

Instructions

Saute in a fire proof skillet, 4 cups of chopped spinach 2 Tbsp Olive Oil 1 1/2 tsp crushed garlic 1 Tbsp mustard Combine in a large bowl and mix gentley,the following. Spinach mixture, 2 pounds of ground chuck, 2 tsp salt, 3/4 cup crushed prezels, 3/4 cup Blue Chease,crumbled, 3/4 cup Bacon,crumbled, 1/2 cup Merlot. Divide into six Burgers. Brush with 1/4 tsp of Olive Oil on each side. Place on a lightly oiled grill that is medium hot for approximately 8 min's on the first side and 6 min's on the second side. Brush the cut side of the Buns with Olive oil and toast on the grill one to two min's or until golden brown. Place the Burger on the Bun and top with three slices of Avacodo and a large leaf of Romaine lettuce folded in half. Serve with Kettle Chips on the side. Enjoy!
