Bacon Cheese Burger

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


1 pound lean ground beef
3/4 cup Steak Sauce
4 slices of cooked bacon, cut into 4 pieces
4 tablespoons Port Wine soft spreadable cheese
4 wheat buns



In a large bowl, mix the ground beef and 1/3 cup of the steak sauce. Divide into 8 thin patties. On 4 of the patties, place 4 pieces of the bacon on each patty, top with 1 tablespoon of the cheese. Cover with the remaining 4 hamburger patties and press edges to seal. Grill for about 5-6 minutes on each side. Baste with the remaining steak sauce as you are grilling. Serve on the buns.
