Ingredients

2 lbs. ground beef
12 slices bacon (preferably thick, center-cut)
8 eggs
2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoon  dijon mustard
2 teaspoon worcesteshire sauce
12 slices sharp  cheddar cheese
12 Kaiser rolls
kosher salt
freshly ground pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare gas grill by pre-hearting to medium high heat. To make the bacon, place slices on a cookie sheet and place on grill for 8-10 minutes. Remove the cookie sheet from grill and reserve the cooked bacon slices for future use, on paper towels. Turn gas grill down to medium and brush with oil. To make the patties, mix ground beef, 2 eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard, worcesteshire sauce in a medium-sized bowl and divide the meat into six uniform balls (to ensure even cooking time and temps) with an ice cream scoop. Lightly shape balls into patties, but handle the meat as little as possible and don’t use too much pressure to avoid compacting. Season each side generously with salt and pepper. Place burgers on grill and cover and grill for three minutes. Flip each burger over and cover for an additional 3-4 minutes (for medium). Take the remaining eggs and crack an egg over each individual burger. Once all of the eggs have been cracked onto the burgers, cover grill and allow to cook on burgers for 3 additional minutes. During the the final minute or two of cooking time. place the buns on the grill to toast. Turn off grill. To assemble the burgers, remove bottom buns and place 2 slices of pre-cooked bacon on each Kaiser roll bottom. Place one egg burger atop each bacon Kaiser bottom and then place a single slice of cheese slice on each egg. Remove Kaiser tops from grill and place on top of cheese (heat from the roll with slightly melt the cheese) and serve.
