1/3 cup cider vinegar
2 1/2 T.maple syrup
2 cloves garlic,minced
1 1/2 T.fresh grated ginger
1/8-1/4 t.red pepper flakes,depending on how hot you like it
1 large tomato,seeded and chopped
3 T.fresh cilantro
2 pounds ground lamb
garlic salt,lemon pepper to taste
6 pieces naan bread,brushed with olive oil,or pita bread ,if not available
Combine vinegar,syrup,garlic,cumin,pepper and ginger in small saucepan.Place on side burner,or directly on grill and bring to a boil.Cook until thickened.Remove from heat and stir in tomato.Stir in cilantro before serving.
Form lamb into rectangular patties(6) and season,to taste,with garlic salt and lemon pepper.Grill on med-high,sprayed or oiled wrack,for 6 minutes per side.Set aside,cover with foil and grill naan bread.Place patties on bread,spread with chutney.Add mixed greens,if desired.
