Ingredients
- 1 1/2 PoundGround beef (80/20)
- 6 Onion burger buns
- 1/2 small Onion (finely diced)
- 3 T Jalapenos (pickled, finely diced)
- 2 T Jalapenos juice (from pickles
- Jalapenos jar)
- 1 1/2
- Teaspoon Salt
- 3/4 Teaspoon Pepper
- 1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
- Jalapenos – for topping
- Nacho sauce or this recipe:
- 8 Ounces Sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 Cup Evaporated Milk
- 1/4 Cup Jalapeno juice (from pickled Jalapeno jar)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Onion powder
- Tortilla strips
- 4 Corn tortillas
- Oil
- Salt
- Juice from 1/2 of a Lime
Instructions
- Step one:
- Add all the burger ingredients in a large bowl.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Form into six patties.
- Grill to desired temp
- Step two:
- While burgers are grilling – Shred cheese and add to a sauce pan. Begin to melt on low, stirring frequently.
- Add Evap. Milk and mix thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients. Set aside
- Step three:
- Heat oil. Slice tortillas into thin strips. Fry a small amount of strips at a time.
- After each fry, sprinkle with salt. After all strips are fried, squeeze lime over all of the strips.
- Build your burger: Bun (quickly grill if desired), Burger, Nacho cheese sauce, tortillas strips, Jalapenos.
- Serve with remaining tortilla strips on the side.
