Beef Strognanoff Burger

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


1 lb. ground chuck
4 slices provalone cheese
1 large vidialla onion
4 grilled portabella mushrooms
olive oil
1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons dry sherry
finely chopped garlic
potato rolls toasted



Form 4 patties using the ground chuck. Lightly season using Kosher salt and pepper to taste. I pepper heavily. Place the patties on an oiled grill. Cut onion into 4 slices. Salt, pepper and lightly oil the onion slices and the mushrooms. Place on grill. Turn burgers and vegetables only once. While the burgers are cooking, mix the sourcream, sherry and finely chopped garlic.I then add about 1/4 tsp of coarsely ground black pepper. Spread bottom of each roll lightly with sourcream mixture. Place one grilled mushroom then onion and ground chuck pattie. Top with cheese and a dollop of sour cream mixture.
