Berg’s BBQ Burger

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.


2lb ground sirloin or chuck
4T BBQ sauce
1T soy sauce
1T worchestershire sauce
1tsp cajun seasoning
1/2-3/4 tsp salt
1C cheddar crumbles
1-2 large vidalia onions, peeled and cut into 1/4 inch rings, leaving rings intact.
Olive oil
Kaiser rolls
Balsamic mayonaise, recipe follows
Honey ketchup, recipe follows
Green leaf lettuce
1/2C mayonaise
3T balsamic vinegar
Combine in small bowl and set aside.

Combine in small bowl and set aside.



Heat grill on high. Combine ground sirloin, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, worchestershire sauce, cajun seasoning, salt and cheddar crumbles into large mixing bowl. Divide into six portions and shape into patties. Grill 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. Brush vidalia onion slices with olive oil and grill until tender. Lightly toast kaiser rolls on grill. Place burger on rolls and top with balsamic mayonaise, honey ketchup, grilled vidalia onion slice and leaf lettuce.
