“Big Apple” Bacon Burger Stuffed with NY Cheddar Cheese

Ingredients:

2 lbs. ground beef
1 Tbsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. granulated garlic
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 lbs. diced, cooked slab bacon
6 oz. NY Sharp cheddar cheese, cut in 1 oz chunks
2 tart apples, cored (not peeled)
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 red onion, sliced
6 kaiser rolls
1/2 cup Thousand Island Dressing

Instructions:

COMBINE ground beef, paprika, salt, sugar, allspice, nutmeg, cayenne, garlic, ginger, and cinnamon in bowl.
MIX together completely.
Add cooked diced bacon.
MIX together completely.
DIVIDE into 12 equal portions.
FLATTEN into patties 1/2 inch thick.
PLACE 1 oz cheese chunk in middle of one pattie.
TOP with second pattie and crimp closed.
FASHION into burger with hands.
REPEAT with remaining 10 patties and cheese.
CUT apples into 1/2 inch think slices.
BRUSH with melted butter.
SPRINKLE with mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon.
GRILL until golden on each side.
GRILL burgers until desired doneness.
TO Assemble Burgers:

SPREAD each side of roll with 1/2 Tbsp. Thousand Island Dressing
PLACE 1 slice of red onion on bottom half of roll
TOP with burger
TOP with 2 grilled apple slices
TOP with other half of roll.
