Blackberry Burgers

Ingredients

1 pound of Hamburger
1 cup of Blackberry wine
1 Clove of Garlic
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Teaspoon of ground Black Pepper
1 Cup of crumbled Bleu Cheese
1 Avocado
1 Large Tomato
1 Package Whole Grain Bun
1 cup Mayonaise
1 Tablespoon of Horseradish
4 Kosher Dill Pickles

 

Instructions

Place the Hamburger in a glass dish. Marinade the meat with the Blackberry Wine, the crushed clove of Garlic, Worcestershire Sauce, and the 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Let stand for half of an hour. While meat is marinading mix the horseradish and the mayonaise together until smooth. Slice tomatoes, and pickle. Slice the buns in two horizontially. Seperate the meat into four even portions. Roll the blue cheese into the meat pattie, reserving 1/4 cup. shape the meat and cheese into patties. Place the patties on the heated charcoal grill. Grill must be hot before placing the patteis on. Brown Patties for four minutes on one side without distrubing them. After four minutes flip the patties over and brown for an additional five minutes. When first flip is complete distribute the remaining bleu cheese on the patties. Place the bun slices on the grill to brown when the cheese has been ditributed. Place bun slices on the grill for warming. Remove the bun bottom and place a schmear of mayonaise/horseradish sauce on the bun when the patties have been on the grill for five minutes. Remove the patty from the heat and place on the schmeared bun. Repeat this for each of the patties. Place a pickle slice and a tomato slice on top of the bleu cheese covered patty side. Place the top of the bun on the pickle and tomato.
