Blue Balsamic Burger Patty Melt

My favorite salad The Wedge Salad! And I love patty melts! And Hamburgers!Now I’ve rolled them all into one, what could be better..

Ingredients:

2 1/4lbs. ground beef

2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce

2 Tbs. balsamic vinegar

3 cloves fresh garlic minced

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup finely chopped red onions

12 slices cooked bacon

12 1/4″ slices tomatoes

3 cups shredded iceburg lettuce

3 cups crumbled blue cheese

1 cup balsamic vinegar

12 slices sourdough bread

Instructions:

Combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, garlic, black pepper and red onion in a large mixing bowl and mix well. Then divide into 6 equal size patties to fit you bread. Pre heat grill on medium high heat. In a ovenproof skillet on grill add bacon slices and cook until crispy, remove from pan and set aside. In a ovenproof saucepan add the 1 cup balsamic vinegar and cook on top of grill until reduces by half, set aside. Then place your patties onto the grill grates and grill 4 – 6 minutes on each side. Then place you bread on grill approximately 2 minutes on one side, then on grilled side place you pattie, 2 bacon slices per pattie, then 1/2 cup blue cheese on each bacon topped pattie, followed by lettuce and tomato. Then drizzle the balsamic glaze over top of the lettuce and tomato. Top with grilled side down sourdough bread, then gently lay your melts on grill to toast the outer sides of the bread, approximately 2 minutes per side.Turn them with care.
