Blue Cheese & Walnut Burgers

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


2 pounds ground beef
4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 red onion sliced
6 kaiser rolls
Colavita Olive oil
3 tablespoons Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard
3 tablespoons Mayonnaise



Using a fork, mash the cheese and blend with walnuts in a small bowl and set aside. Mix beef, garlic, black pepper, salt in another bowl. Shape mixture into 12 thin hamburger patties. Divide cheese mixture equally and place in the middle of six patties. Top these patties with the six remaining patties and gently seal the edges. Grill patties 7-12 minutes turning once. Brush olive oil lightly on red onion slices and grill next to burgers. Brush olive oil lightly on kaiser buns and grill oil side down until lightly toasted. While burgers are cooking, mix Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard with Mayonnaise. Serve burgers with onions on toasted kaiser rolls and top with Grey Poupon dressing. Offer tomato slices and red leaf lettuce as an accompaniment.
