Blue Cheese Burgers with Mango Chutney Sauce

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


1pound 85% lean ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 t.  steak seasoning
1/4 c. crumbled blue cheese
1/4 c. mango chutney
1/4 c. light mayonnaise
4oz arugula
4 sesame seed buns



Combine ground beef with garlic and steak seasoning. Divide meat into quarters. Make 2 thin patties out of each quarter of meat. Sprinkle 1 T crumbled blue cheese on one of the patties and press the other patty on top sealing in the cheese. Repeat with remaining meat. Preheat grill. Grill burgers turning once about 5 minutes each side. In the meantime, mix mango chutney with light mayonnaise. Split buns and spread 2 T. sauce on half of each bun. Top each bun with arugula and and burger. Serve immediatly. Serves 4
