Brett’s Mediterranean Burgers
2 lbs. chuck roast (or 2lbs ground chuck if you don't have a grinder).
4 fresh basil leaves
2 slices of red onion (2" diameter)
2 cloves garlic
1 Portobello mushroom (sliced into strips)
4 pickled artichoke hearts (four artichoke quarters)
2 tsp salt
2 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup crumbled Feta cheese
6 Kaiser rolls
6 slices pepperjack cheese
1. Using a meat grinder, grind all ingredients except the Feta cheese. (If using a food processer, mince the vegetables) 2. Combine the beef and vegetable mixture with the feta cheese. Form into six 1/3 pound patties. 3. Grill the burgers 7 minutes on each side. 4. Toast the Kaiser rolls lightly, dress with condiments. Top each burger with a slice of pepperjack cheese. 5. Serve and enjoy!
