Brian’s Best Burger

Pairs well with:


Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.


2 lbs of fresh ground beef
2 large or jumbo eggs
1/2 cup of rolled oats
1/4 cup of ketchup
1 Tbs white pepper
1/2 very finely chopped white onion
1/2 very finely chopped green bell pepper
2 cloves finely minced garlic
hamburger buns
several leaves fresh romane lettuce
other half of white onion
thick slices of pepper-jack cheese



In a large bowl, mix together first eight ingredience, carfull not to overhandle. Form the mixture into tight patties. Over medium charcoal heat, grill the patties to desired temperature. Build the burger from the ground up: bun, condiment of choice, patty, onion slice, cheese slice, lettuce leaves, and bun. Enjoy.
