BRUCHETT-A-BURGER

Ingredients

1/187m bottle of SUTTER HOME RED Cabernet Savuignon
6- large thin slices of beef steak tomatoes (2 tomatoes will do)
1-large ball buffalo mozzarella, thinly sliced
6 teaspoons of italian basil pesto
2-tablespoons crushed black. peppercorns
3-lbs. 80-20 all beef hamburger
12- med. to large fresh basil leaves
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons mayonaise
6 tablespoons of grey poupon spicy mustard. 
6 mealhada rolls or any other hard crusty rolls 1/4 cup of olive oil 12 slices of proccuitto

 

Instructions

take red wine and pour into bowl. then add slices of tomato and set aside for one half hour.Take slices of buffalo mozzarella spread 1 teaspoon of pesto over each and spinkle 1/2 tablespoon of the crushed blk peppercorns over the tops and set aside.Take 3lbs of hamburger and make 12 qtr. pound patties. Place one slice of tomato, 2 basil leaves, one slice of mozzarella on top of six patties. With pastry brush sprinkle red wine over the top. Then top each pattie with the remaining patties. Pinch all sides together and mold. Sprinkle one side with seasonings and wine. Put gas grill on medium heat and spray top with olive oil, Place seasoned side down on grill. Grill 3 minutes per side. Once you turn burger sprinkle with wine again, then place sliced proccuitto on grill and toast both sides. Take middles of rolls out and discard. Then brush with olive oil and sprikle with garlic powder and place on grill. Lightly toast. Top one side of bun with mustard and mayo mix. Place burger on bottom half of bun and top with grilled proccuitto, place top of bun on. and enjoy!
