Bubba’s Blueberry Burgers

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


1 1/2 cups “smashed” blueberries
1 1/2 pund ground chuck
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
4 tbs pepper
2 tsp salt
3 tbs Worchestire sauce
4 tbs Cayenne pepper sauce (Frank’s Red Hot, Texas Pete’s, etc…)
6 slices Provolone cheese
6 whole wheat buns


In a medium bowl, smash the blueberries with a fork until all the berries have burst. Add the ground chuck and brown sugar. Mix the berries, beef and sugar together until well blended. Mix in the garlic, pepper and salt. Add in the Worchestire sauce, mixing well. Add in the pepper sauce, again mixing well. Divide the beef into 6, ~1/4 pound balls and flatten. Grill burgers. Melt provolone chees on burgers and serve on whole wheat buns.
