Bud’s Burgers

Pairs well with:

White Merlot

Imagine sipping a lighter Merlot. This fresh, pale-pink wine is a nice change from traditional red or white wines.

Ingredients

2 lbs. ground sirloin
1 finely chopped vidalia onion
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 tblsp. worschishire sauce
1 tblsp. Sutter Home Merlot
1 container crumbled bleau cheese
1/2 cup terriyaki sauce
Hawaiian Buns
Tomato
Lettuce

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl combine: ground beef vidalia onion garlic powder black pepper salt worschestershire sauce merlot wine. Hand mix until all ingredients are combined and refrigerate for 1 hour. Form mixture into burger patties and place onto large platter on wax paper. Refrigerate for another hour Grill to desired doneness brushing the burgers with terriyaki sauce during cooking. We prefer medium rare for best taste and consistancy. Prior to removal from grill, top with crumbled blea cheese and place Hawaiian buns on grill to toast lightly. Remove from grill, place on buns with lettuce and tomato. Add desired additional condiments (great with dijon mustard and a little ketchup!) I brush the top of the burgers with terriyaki after each turn. Allow bleu cheese to just begin to melt on burgers prior to removal.
