Burger “Pabellon”

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.

Ingredients

1/2 cup of vegetable oil
1/2 cup grate yellow onion
2 cloves of garlic, minced
3 tablespoons of tomato paste
3 tablespoons of white vinegar
2 pounds groung chuck
2 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon of white pepper
1 can refried beans, or regular black beans
1 ripe plantain
1 ripe avocado
6 slices harvatti cheese
6 teaspoons of a good quality olive oil
6 good quality burger buns

 

Instructions

Light up the grill (medium high)
In a skillet, heat 4 tablesppons of oil and sautee the onions for 6 minutes, add the garlic, cook 30 seconds and add the tomato paste and vinegar, mixing well. Let it cool and add it
to the ground beef, adding the salt and pepper and then form 6 patties and cook them medium rare (about 5 to 6 minutes each side)
In the meantime, heat up the refried beans in a skillet, If you only found the regular ones, just mash them. Peel, slice and fry the ripe plantain in the reamining vegetable oil, and keep warm.
Peel and slice the avocado.
Heat the burger buns, spread one half of each with the black beans paste, add the cooked pattie, a slice of the harvatti chese, 3 slices of fried plantain and 3 slices of avocado. Sprinkle with salt and top with the other half of the burger bun.
