Burgers – Marinated and Stuffed

Cabernet Sauvignon

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.


1 1/4 lbs ground beef
1 Tbs cabernet sauvignon
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 pinch salt
1 pinch black pepper
1 tsp oregano
4 slices american cheese
4 slices cheddar cheese
1/4 c diced red onions
4 leaves basil chiffonade
4 wheat rolls



Combine first seven ingredients in a bowl.
Seperate mixture into 8 even sized balls.
Shape balls into 8 thin patties. On each of 4 patties, seperate slices of american cheese.
Top american cheese with onions and then with remaining cheddar cheese.
Garnish with basil.
Place plain patties on top of cheese patties and form a seal around the edge making one sealed, cheese stuffed patty.
Cook on a med-high grill approximately 3-4 minutes per side.
Grill wheat rolls on both sides until toasted.
Serve with a variety of condiments.
