1 pound of ground chuck
1/3 cup red wine, (i.e. cabernet or pinot noir)
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 16oz canned mushrooms stems and pieces.
1 small onion, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
Mix the ground chuck with the red wine, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, thyme, and mushrooms. Form into four patties. Grill burgers, until medium. In a pan, sautee the onion in the olive oil. When onion becomes caramelized, reduce heat to low. Grill buns until grill marks appear on bread. Place burgers on buns, topping with onions. Serve with condements of your choice.
