Burr Burger

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.

Ingredients

Burger ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
1/4 cups chopped fresh cilantro
1/3 cup presoaked “fine ground” bulgur wheat
2 Tbsp. tomato paste
1 Tbsp. ground dried red pepper (medium spicy heat)
1 Tbsp. ground coriander
2 tsp. ground dried mint
2 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. ground cumin
1 egg white
1.5 pounds ground beef
Spread ingredients
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp. chopped fresh mint
1 tsp. ground dried red pepper (medium spicy heat)
Garnish ingredients
6 paper-thin slices of red onion
6 leave of butter lettuce
6 slices of fresh tomato

 

Instructions

With hands, blend ground beef with all of the above ingredients, in order from top down. Shape into six patties. Charcoal grill – heat the grill to medium hot fire. Brush the heated grill rack with vegetable oil. Grill with closed cover flipping the burger after 7 to 10 minutes on each side until the burger is deliciously browned. Spread ingredients 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil 1 tsp. chopped fresh mint 1 tsp. ground dried red pepper (medium spicy heat) Gently mix the extra virgin olive oil with above spices in a small bowl taking care not to crush the fresh mint. Warm Kaiser Roll on the grill. Spread 2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil mix over inside of each Kaiser Roll. Place burger patty on one side of bun. Place a paper-thin slice of red onion on top followed by a leaf of butter lettuce and a slice of fresh tomato. Top with Kaiser Roll. Take a bite. Burr!
