Cajun Slaw BBQ Turkey Burgers

I live in East Texas and East Texans love to grill and love the Cajun influence of being so close to Louisiana.This burger mixes Texas with Louisiana and is just a wonderful feel good burger!`

Ingredients:

2 Pounds Ground Turkey
1/2 Cup Diced Purple Onion
1/2 Cup Cooked Bacon Bits
3 teaspoons Dijon Mustard
3 tablespoons Kraft Traditional BBQ Sauce
3 teaspoons Real Maple Syrup
1 teaspoon Chili Powder
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon White Pepper

One Recipe Cajun Slaw

10 ounces Pre Packaged Slaw Mix
3/4 C Lite Real Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar
1 Tablespoon Tony’s Cajun Seasoning
1 teaspoon course Ground Black pepper
1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

6 wedges French Onion Light Laughing Cow Cheese
6 Onion Buns
1/2 Small Purple Onion, thinly sliced

Instructions:

Slaw
In a large glass mixing bowl, mix Mayonnaise and Apple Cider Vinegar. Add Sugar and Spices to Mayo and mix well. Pour over Slaw and combine until Slaw is well coated. Cover and refrigerate until burgers are ready (about 45 minutes).

Turkey Patties
Preheat grill to medium. In a large mixing bowl, combine Dijon Mustard, BBQ Sauce and Maple Syrup. Mix in Ground Turkey, Onion, Bacon Bits. In a small bowl mix spices and mix with turkey mixture until well combined. Form 6 patties.

Cook
Place Turkey Patties on a hot oiled grill (medium heat)for 5-6 minutes on each side. Toast Onion Buns on grill for 2 minutes.

Assemble
Use one wedge of Laughing Cow Cheese spread per bun. Spread cheese on each side of the toasted Onion Bun. Place one slice of purple onion on toasted bun. Place cooked Turkey patty on top of purple onion. Top with 1/2 Cup Cajun Slaw and place top portion of bun on top. Eat!.
