Instructions

Preparation: 1)Using a charcoal grill, prepare to a medium to high temperature. 2)For dressing, whisk together in a mixing bowl: the crumbled blue cheese, 1 tsp. sweet relish, and the green salsa until smooth place on the table. 3)For the cooking of the bell peppers, slice the three bell peppers (washed and dry) across and remove seeds and grill the peppers after you have brushed oil on the rack for about three minutes or until evenly done and remove from grill, but keep warm. 4)For the patties, mix the beef, remove the sausage skin and place the sausage pieces and blend together in a blender with the Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, garlic salt, and cabernet sauvignon. Mix well and separate the mixture into six balls and form the patties to fit the hamburger buns. Place oil on the grill rack with a brush, place the meat patties on the grill, cover and start grilling them on each side for about four minutes on each side for medium rare. 5)Heat the inside portion of the buns only by placing them on the outer edge of the grilling rack to lightly toast. 6)For burger assembly, spread some of the mustard on each side of the bun and coat very lightly, then place the bottom bun on the plate with the red leaf lettuce cut into small pieces to fit the bun size and place on bun, next, place the cooked meat patty, two tsp. of dressing drizzled over it, and then place once slice of each bell pepper stacked on top of each other in a layered manner, and place the top of the bun and serve. Makes six burgers
