Calypso Beef Burgers

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


For fruit salsa:
1 can tropical fruit, drained
1 T. lime zest
1 T. lime juice
1 T. chopped fresh cilantro
2 tsp. chopped jalapenos
For beef burgers
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 T spicy tomato fruit sauce,
1 tsp. Steak Seasoning,
1 tsp. Jamaican Jerk Seasoning,
1 tsp salt
4 nice size romaine lettuce leaves, washed
4 toasted English Muffins



1. Heat grill 2. In small bowl, combine 1 can of tropical fruit, 1 T. lime zest, 1 T. lime juice, 1 T. chopped cilantro and 2 tsp. chopped jalapenos. 3. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. 4. In large bowl, combine 1 1/2 lbs ground beef, 1 T. spicy tomato fuit sauce, 1 tsp Montreal steak seasoning, 1 tsp Jamaican jerk sauce, and 1 tsp salt 5. Shape beef mixture into 4 patties 6. Grill for 10 minutes or until meat thermometer read 160 degrees for medium. 7. Place one lettuce leave on bottom half of each toasted english muffin. 8. Place one beef patty on top of each lettuce leaf. 9. Top each burger with 1/4 cup fruit salsa mixture from small bowl. 10. Add top half of english muffin 11. Enjoy
