Camembert Pierre Burger

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.

Ingredients

1 oz. Sutter Home Cabernet Savignon
1 small onion,finely chopped.
2 clove garlic,crushed
3 tablespoons,Plum based bbq sauce
3 tablespoons,fresh breadcrumbs
1/2 teaspoon,rosemary leaves
1/2 teaspoon.freshly crushed black peppercorns
1 lb lean ground beef
4 oz. Ile de France camembert
8 slices ,lean bacon
4 leaves of red-leaf lettuce
4 slices of tomato,
4 slabs,1 inch thick,of fresh bread,preferably grained [ 4 additional slabs if top-slab required]
Garlic
butter
Black Pepper

 

Instructions

Mix the Sutter Home Cabernet Sauvignon,onion,garlic,plum-based sauce,fresh breadcrumbs,rosemary leaves and black pepper in a bowl. Mix these ingredients welll with the lean ground beef. Cut the 4 oz. of Camembert into 4 pieces. Shape the ground beef mixture around each piece of camembert,creating 4 burgers. Cook on the bbq,4-5 minutes each side. [The camembert will heat as the buger cooks] Cook the bacon alongside the burgers. On the fresh bread ,lightly spread garlic butter and sprinkle with black peeper. Heat on bbq for the last minute of the burger time. Remove the bread slabs,stack the burger on the fresh bread. Place two strips of bacon across each burger,then add a spoonful of plum-based bbq sauce to the bacon and burger. Add red-leaf lettuce and a slice of tomato to each burger. Serve with Sutter Home Cabernet Sauvignon.
