Caprese Burgers

Every pour of our Pinot Noir brings you a delicious blend of berry flavors and the romantic aroma of violet.


2 lbs. ground beef
3 Tab. chopped oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes
1/4 cup pesto
12 oz. fresh mozzarella, cut into 12 slices
6 hamburger buns
2 Tab. pesto
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
1 large tomato, sliced



Mix together ground beef, sun-dried tomatoes, and 1/4 cup pesto. Shape into 12 thin patties. Put 1 slice mozzarella between 2 patties. Seal edges well. Grill over medium heat for 7 minutes per side, or until no longer pink. During the last 5 minutes of cooking, spread the inside of the hamburger buns with the 2 Tab. of pesto. Grill cut-side down until toasted. Put the remaining 6 slices of mozzarella on the burgers and grill until melted. Mix mayonnaise and basil. Serve burgers on buns with basil mayonnaise and sliced tomatoes.
