Carol’s Delight

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


1 lb of Australian or American ground Kobe Beef
2 small cloves of garlic
1 small egg
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon of finely chopped italian parsely
2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 slices of gruyere cheese (thick)
2 thin slices of foie gras
2 crusty sourdough hamburger buns
2 tablespoons demi glace



1. In a large bowl, combine ground kobe beef, minced garlice, chopped onion, egg, parsely, and salt and pepper. 2. Mix and form into two equal patties. 3. In large skillet, heat olive oil and bring patties to desired temperature. (medium rare, preferred) 4. Remove patties from skillet and place on sizzle plate. 5. Top with foie gras and gruyere cheese. 6. Place in broiler or salamander until cheese becomes bubbly and golden brown. 7. Place on sourdough buns. 8. Top with demi glace and serve.
