Cheeseburger Bowl w/Pesto Sauce

Ingredients

1 3/4# Ground sirloin
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
1 Tablespoon dried Marjoram
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup sun dried tomatoes chopped
1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon
2 cups chopped fresh mushrooms
1 white onion 3 5"
french bread rounds 
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup pesto
1 can chopped black olives, drained(2.25 oz)
Pam cooking spray for grill

 

Instructions

In bowl combine ground sirloin, garlic, marjoram, worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, sun dried tomatoes, bacon and mushrooms.Make six beef patties 4"x1". Cut white onion in six 1/2"x3" slices. Slice 1/2" top off french bread round. With sharp knife cut out center of bread leaving a 3/4" or so border. Do not cut through bottom crust. Set aside. In small bowl combine mayonnaise, pesto, balsamic vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, and olives. Set aside. Spray grill with Pam. Preheat gas grill for 5 minutes on medium heat. Put beef patties and onions on grill and cook for three minutes. Turn over and cook three more minutes. Place one onion slice in bottom of bread bowl,sprinkle 1 1/2 Tablespoons cheese, place patty on top, push down, place onion slice on top, sprinkle with another 1 1/2 Tablespoons of cheese, cover with bread top. Repeat with remaining patties, onions, and cheese till there are three complete "bowls". Wrap each in aluminum foil and place on grill away from flame. Put top of grill down and heat bowls wrapped in foil for 8-10 minutes. to serve, remove bread top and spoon on two Tablespoons of mayonnaise pesto mixture. Place bread top back on and slice in half.
