Cheesy Burrito Breakfast Burgers

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.

Ingredients

2 eggs beaten
1/2 cup refried beans
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1 teaspoon Chipotle Sauce
1/8 cup Sutter Home White Zinfandel Wine
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
2 pounds ground chuck hamburger
3 tablespoons vegetable oil 
slices Cheddar Cheese
3 tabelspoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
6 onion Bagels sliced
1 cup thick and chunky salsa

 

Instructions

1. Preheat Gas Grill to medium high heat. 2. In large mixing bowl combine eggs, refried beans, onions, Chipotle Sauce, Wine, black pepper, garlic salt, cilantro, Monterey Jack Cheese, and mix well. 3. Blend in ground chuck handling the meat as little as possible. 4. Form into 6 patties. 5. Brush grill lightly with vegetable oil and place patties on grill one inch apart. 6. Grill patties 6-8 minutes on first side until browned. 7. Flip burgers with a spatula and cook an additional 5-7 minutes or until internal temperature measures 160 degrees Farenheit. 8. When burgers are almost done place cheese slices on each burger and cover with grill lid and cook an additional minute or until cheese thoroughly melted. 9. Lightly brush bagel slices with Olive Oil and place face down on grill for approximately one minute until lightly toasted. 10. Serve open faced with a dollop of salsa over each burger. Makes 6 burgers.
