Cherry & Cheddar Burger

2 lbs ground chuck
1/2 cup chopped dried cherries
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1 Tablespoon semi-sweet cherry juice
salt to taste
pepper to taste
6 slices of cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of sour cream
6 cornmeal crusted kaiser rolls



Prepare medium hot fire in charcoal grill with cover. To make the patties, combine the beef, cherries, pecans, juice, and salt/pepper. Form into 6 equally shaped patties. Grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, turning once for a medium center. During the last minute of cooking, place a large slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt. On the outer edge of the grill, toast the kaiser rolls for about 1 minute as well. Assemble the burgers and top with an equal dollop of sour cream and bun. INDULGE!!
