Cherry Glazed Fried Brie Pork Burger
Ingredients
- 8 ounces of cherry fruit spread
- 2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 teaspoon chopped rosemary
- Pork patties
- 1 1/4
- ground pork
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon ground sage
- Salt pepper to taste
- 6 potato buns
- Unsalted butter for spreading
- Fried Brie
- 1 pound Brie cheese
- Cut into thin sliced wedges
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 1 Cup breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoon of olive oil
- Garnish with arugula and fresh red onions sliced to desired thickness
Instructions
- For glaze,
- Pre heat saucepan on medium high heat Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and mix well bring to a simmer and reduce down fo 15 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat set aside
- For pork patties
- Combine minced garlic, sage, salt and pepper and mix well with hands. Form into 6 patties with desired thickness ( 4 inch wide 1 inch thick recommended)
- Heat grill on medium high and cook 6 minutes each side or until cooked through. Toast buns with a little butter.
- For fried Brie,
- Coat each sliced Brie wedges with egg then into breadcrumbs shake off excess. In a skillet heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil on medium high heat and brown each side 4 minutes remove from skillet and drain oil off on paper towel.
- Build burger use a pastry brush to add glaze to cooked pork patties coat well. Add pattie to to toasted bottom bun the top patties with two slices of fried Brie. Too with a little extra cherry glaze. Garnish with fresh arugula and red onions amounts desired and add top and enjoy!
