Chipotle Ole! Torta Burger

Avocado Spread
3 large Hass avocados
¼ teaspoon spicy seasoned salt
½ lime, juiced
1 pound ground chuck
1 pound ground sirloin
1 ½ teaspoons spicy seasoned salt
2 tablespoon Chipotle Pepper Sauce
1 15 oz can spicy refried beans
Oil for grill
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon spicy seasoned salt
6 Bolillo rolls, split
3 cups Iceburg lettuce, shredded
2 large tomatoes, sliced
3 cups Mexican blend cheese, shredded
1 large sweet onion, chopped
9 tablespoons mayonnaise



Set your gas grill to medium-high heat, or prepare a medium-hot fire in a covered charcoal grill. . To make avocado spread, mash avocados with 1/4 teaspoon spicy seasoned salt and juice from lime and set aside. To make patties, combine chuck, sirloin, 1½ teaspoons spicy seasoned salt, and 2 tablespoons Chipotle Sauce. Avoid over mixing of hamburger in order to insure a tender patty. Separate the mixture into six equal portions and form into 6 oblong patties as to fit the shape of the Bolillo roll. Place refried beans in a fireproof, lidded pot, set aside Oil the grill rack, then lightly sprinkle the hamburger patties with the cumin, garlic and seasoned salt, grill patties 5-7 minutes each side for a medium doneness.. Place the pot of refried beans onto grill to heat and stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Cook till bubbly, about 5 minutes, cover with lid, keep warm at edge of grill or on upper rack.. During the last few minutes of grilling the patties, place the Bolillo rolls cut side down onto grill and toast till light golden brown, set aside till burgers are ready to assemble. Remove patties from grill when done, keep warm till ready to assemble. To assemble the burgers, spread approximately 3 Tablespoons of Refried Beans on each roll bottom, then place ½ cup lettuce, a tomato slice, a patty, 1/3 cup of the Mexican Cheese Blend, and the chopped sweet onion. Then take the top portion of the roll and spread with 1 ½ Tablespoons of the mayonnaise, next spread 3 Tablespoons of the avocado mixture on top of the mayonnaise, and place roll tops onto Torta Burgers and serve. Makes 6 burgers.
