Cilantro Turkey Burger

1 1/2 lb. ground turkey
1/3 cup finely chopped green onion
1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 minced garlic clove
2 dashes of tabasco sauce
salt to taste pepper to taste
cooking spray
6 whole wheat buns
6 slices monterey jack cheese
6 T. low fat mayonnaise
1 avocado  sliced
tomato slices(optional)
leaf lettuce(optional)



Preheat gas grill to medium high heat.Combine first 7 ingredients in a mixing bowl. Divide into four equal patties about 1/2"-3/4" thick and coat with cooking spray. Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side with grill top closed. Make sure you use a spatula to flip the burgers as turkey is delicate on the grill. Lightly toast buns on grill and add cheese slices on top of burgers to melt.Put one burger with cheese on each toasted botton and spread 1T of mayonnaise on each bun top and add avocado slices. Add tomato slices and lettuce if you wish. Enjoy!!!!
