Clay’s “Thought You Died & Went to Heaven” Burgers

Ingredients

Ingredients: Yield: 6 burgers

Broccoli Slaw Mix
12 oz. Mann’s Redi-Made Broccoli Cole Slaw
¼ cup Parmesan Peppercorn Salad Dressing

Special Glaze Sauce
¼ cup Minor’s Teriyaki Glaze
¼ cup Sutter Home “Syrah”

Burgers
1.5 lbs. Ground Chuck 85/15
1.5 lbs. Ground Sirloin
1 tsp. Beef Roast Seasoning
¼ cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce
¼ cup Sun-dried Tomatoes (Finely Diced)
1 tsp. Kosher Salt
1 tsp. Black Pepper

Toppings

12 slices Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Bacon (Pre-Cooked)
6 slices Horseradish Cheese
12 slices Roma Tomatoes
12 oz. Roasted Yellow & Red Peppers

6 Buns Herb & Asiago Cheese Ciabatta Bun

 

Instructions

Directions:

Prepare grill for medium-hot direct-heat cooking.

To make the slaw: Mix the slaw ingredients together. Set aside for at least 15 minutes to allow the dressing and slaw to meld together.

To make special glaze sauce: Whisk teriyaki glaze and Sutter Home “Syrah” in a small bowl. Pour into spray bottle until ready to use.

To make burgers: Gently combine ground chuck with ground sirloin. Add Beef Roast Seasoning, BBQ Sauce, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Black Pepper and Kosher Salt. Mix all together. Form into 8oz. burgers.

Cooking Instructions:

Place burgers on preheated grill. Let cook on one side for approximately 5 minutes. Flip burgers over. Spray special glaze sauce on hamburgers. Cook burgers for an additional 5 minutes. Flip burgers over and spray special glaze sauce on burgers. Place bacon and cheese on burger. Close lid and allow cheese to melt. Remove from grill once the cheese has melted and place on a heated plate. Toast Buns.

Assembling the Burgers:

Place burger on bottom part of bun. Place 2oz. of each topping on top of the burger in the following order: Broccoli Slaw, Sliced Roma Tomatoes, Roasted Yellow & Red Peppers. Place top part of bun on top.
