This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.


1 1/2 lbs ground sirloin
4 Tbsp Sutter Home red wine
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp grated sweet onion
1 tsp kosher salt
6 oz colby cheddar cheese



Mix first five ingredients together and form into 6 meat balls. Place one ounce of the colby cheddar cheese in center of meat ball and form into a patty. Be sure to cover all the cheese with the sirloin. Spray gas grill grates with oil and preheat grill untill it reaches 450 degrees. Grill burgers for 6 to7 minutes on each side for medium finish. Serve burgers on good quality rolls with Dijon mustard, Romain lettuce, a slice of Beefsteak tomato and 2 or 3 rounds of red onion.
