1/2 cup of shredded green apple
1/4 cup of sliced green olives
1/4 cup of raisins
1/2 cup of shoestring potatoes
2 tbs of plain yogurt
salt
pepper
Burger:
2 lbs. of ground beef
6 cloves of garlic (minced)
salt and pepper
Buns:
2 lbs of pizza dough (found in most grocery stores)
1/2 cup of honey
1/2 cup of flour
lime juice
1 stick of butter
1 cup of iceberg lettuce
1/2 cup of thinly sliced tomatoes

Instructions

Relish (Salpicao): Shred 1/2 cup of carrots and parboil them. Then flash them in a cold water bath to cool down. Shred 1/2 cup of green apple and flash in the same cold water bath. In a small bowl, place the 1/4 cup of sliced green olives, 1/4 cup of raisins, and the drained apples and carrots. Add the 2 tbs. of plain yogurt and stir. Add the 1/2 cup of shoestring potatoes last to ensure crispiness. Finally, add salt and pepper to taste. Burger: Take 2 lbs. of ground beef and place in a medium size bowl. Add 6 cloves of finely, minced garlic, roughly 1 tbs of salt, and 1/2 tbs of salt. Mix the ingredients well. Then patty the burgers into roughly 5 oz portions. You should have 6 patties when finished. Turn on grill to high heat. Clean grill with grill brush and then place burgers on the grill. Cook the burgers for roughly 5 minutes (2.5 minutes per side). Honey Buns: Take your 2 lbs of pizza dough, found in your local grocery store, and place in a large bowl. Add roughly half of the honey and fold into the dough. Once fully folded, place that dough mixture on your counter top with the flour to prevent from sticking. Split the dough into 6 equal portions. By hand, roll these into hamburger bun size. Let the dough proof for roughly 1 hour. After proofing the dough, butter the baking sheet and preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Use the remaining butter, place in a small microwavable bowl. Melt in the microwave. Add to that bowl the remainder of the honey and the juice of 1 lime. Brush this mixture over the buns. Place the honey buns on the baking sheet and bake them for 10-12 minutes in the oven. Remove the buns from the oven and rebrush them with the honey-lime sauce. Let cool and them cut down the middle. Garnish: 1 cup of shredded iceburg lettuce 1/2 cup of thinly sliced tomatoes Presentation: Take the sliced honey buns and place on the bottom bun some of the lettuce and tomato. Stack the burger on top of the lettuce and tomato. Then, spoon on the relish. Top the burger with the bun and enjoy.
