Cream cheese and Mushroom Burger

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.


1/4 lb of hamburger
Paula's house seasoning:
mixture of salt, pepper and garlic powder
1 box of cream cheese
1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup of green onion diced
1/4 cup of real bacon bits
2 TBS of butter
8-10 large mushrooms sliced
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of red wine
1 boullion cube
1/4 of a piece of french bread, center hollowed out



1. place the sliced mushrooms in a disposible aluminum pan with 1/2 TBS of butter and sprinkle them with Paula Dean's house seasoning, cook 10 minutes or until tender, add 1 cup of water, 1/4 cup of wine and 1 boullion cube to the mushrooms and cook 10-15 minutes then remove from heat 2. pat out a hamburger pattie and season with paula Dean's house seasoning, cook til med-well approximately 10-15 minutes 3. mix the cream cheese, mozarella, green onion, bacon mix and some Paula Deans house seasoning in a bowl. Pat out into palm size patties and cook on the grill on top of tin foil. Cook until bubbly and slightly browned, about 5-10 minutes. 4. place the cream cheese pattie on top of the cooked hamburger pattie, top with saute'd mushrooms and put into a toasted piece of french bread that has been slightly hollowed out of it's inside breading. enjoy
