Crispy Garlic Butter Mushroom Potato-Cake Burger

Ingredients

  • 2 1bs 80/20 hamburger chuck
  • 2 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon pepper
  • 2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms
  • 4 Tablespoon butter
  • 2 Teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 6 potato buns
  • fresh baby spinach
  • 12 oz of premade mashed potatoes
  • (You can make your own mashed potatoes if you wish)
  • 2 Cups canola oil
  • 4 Tablespoon flour
  • The shallot butter recipe
  • 1.
  • 3/4 Cup spreadable butter
  • 2.
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 3.
  • 4 chopped shallots
  • 4.
  • 2 Tablespoon chives

Instructions

  • 1.
  • Mix the hamburger, worcestershire, 1/2 Teaspoon pepper, 1/2 Teaspoon salt together
  • 2.
  • Make 6 patties and set aside
  • 3.
  • in pan on medium heat, place 4 Tablespoon of butter add 1 pound of fresh mushrooms, 1/2 Teaspoon pepper, 1/2 Teaspoon salt,
  • 2 Teaspoon garlic powder and thyme
  • 4.
  • Cooking the mushrooms for 6-7 minutes until tender, making sure they are coated
  • 5.
  • Start cooking the burgers for 5-6 minutes on each side, per 1/2 inch of thickness, or until temp reaches 160 fahrenheit.

  • In medium bowl mix the mashed potatoes with 3 Tablespoon of flour and 1 Teaspoon salt.
  • Stir well and form 6 thin patties, using the other flour to coat each side
  • 7.
  • Heat oil in a shallow pan to medium and cook the potato patties on each side, until they are crispy and golden
  • 8.
  • Mix in a small bowl the 3/4 Cup of spreadable butter with shallots, chives, 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 9.
  • On the cooked burger place
  • 1 Tablespoon of the shallot butter on each warm burger
  • 10.
  • Butter the rolls with the shallot butter and grill 1-2 minutes
  • 11.
  • lay bed of baby spinach, top with burger and crispy potato cake and crown with the muchrooms.
