Dakota Burger

Zinfandel

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.

Ingredients

2 lb.'s lean hamburger
one-half cup of mushroom & ripe olive spaghetti sauce.
three-fourths cup of instant oatmeal with brown sugar
one-half cup of finely chopped sweet onion.
2 beaten large eggs
one-fourth cup of red wine[your own preference]
one teaspoon salt
one teaspoon pepper
6 slices of provolone cheese.[1/2 ounce each]

 

Instructions

Mix hamburger, spaghetti sauce, oatmeal, chopped onion, beaten eggs, red wine, salt, and pepper in large bowl. Fold cheese into fourths, and form patty around each cheese slice, making 6 large burgers.Take olive oil, and brush each side of burger, and Refrigerate for about a hour before placing on grill. Preheat gas grill, and spray grill with Pam or any other type of oil then grill on low heat till done to your desire. Only turning once. Medium burgers take about 6-7 minutes on each side. Serve on buns with with lettuce and tomatoes and with condiments available to your choosing such as mayonaise, mustard, etc.
