Dawn’s famous Blue Cheese and Gorgonzola stuffed burgers

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.

Ingredients

3 lbs. lean ground beef
1 large red onion,chopped(about 1 cup)
1 1/2 cups italian style bread crumbs
2 eggs
2 large cloves garlic,finely chopped
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon fresh cracked black pepper
1 cup gorgonzola cheese,crumbled
3/4 cup bleu cheese,crumbled
6 crusty hard rolls,halved
6 pieces romaine lettuce
2 tomatoes thickly sliced into 6 pieces

 

Instructions

step 1: start by lighting your gas grill and adjusting to a medium flame.step 2: in a large mixing bowl combine your beef,onions,bread crumbs,eggs,garlic,salt and pepper.step 3: using your hands mix ingredients together. step 4: again,using your hands,form meat mixture into patties. step 5: combine the cheeses in a smaller bowl step 6: make “well” with your fingers in the patties. step 7: stuff your “wells” with 2 tablespoons of cheese mixture. step 8: form meat over cheese and back into patties. step 9: place patties on already hot grill and cover for approximately 10 minutes, flipping only once.step 10: place cooked burgers on bottom half of your buns.step 11: place 1 piece lettuce and 1 piece tomato on top of each burger. step 12: place tops of buns on finished burgers.step 13: time to eat and enjoy!!
