This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.


2 lbs. fresh ground round
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
2 pkgs/dry Beefy Onion Soup Mix
2 tbls. fresh minced garlic
2 tbls. of Mayo
1 cup fresh diced mushrooms
1/2 cup fresh diced onions
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded parmasean cheese



In large bowl hand mix ground round, beaten eggs, bread crumbs, soup mix, garlic and mayo. Add diced mushrooms, onion and cheese mixing gently with hands until throughly mixed togehter. Refrigerate to meld all flavors for at least 1 hour. (Can be made as early as the night before if desired.) Make large 1/4-1/2 pound balls, shape into thick patty size and grill to personal liking, Well, Medium, Rare etc. Serve with roll of choice and the following condiments for your guest to choose from; Sliced Tomato, Lettuce, Mayo, Ketchup, Steak Sauce, Hot Sauce, Salsa and Pickles.
