Family After Thanksgiving Burger
Ingredients
- 1.5 PoundGround turkey
- 2 Cups cooked stuffing
- 1/2 Cup mayo
- 1/3 Cup cranberry sauce
- 1/3 Cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 Cup of jarred turkey gravy (homemade preferred but for the ease of it)
- 1/2 Cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1/2 finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon coarse salt
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- 1 tablespoon sage
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 Cup Sutter home Chardonnay
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Combine black pepper, salt,thyme,sage,ground cloves
- Mix ground turkey and chopped onion in bowl.
- Add seasoning blend and Chardonnay and continue to incorporate all together
- Form 6 1/4 Poundflat burgers
- Using a soda can, wrap the burger around the bottom of the can to form a burger bowl
- Prepare Grill for indirect smoking, cook burgers for 40 minutes.
- Remove burgers and
- Fill each burger with 1/3 Cup of prepared stuffing.
- Top stuffing with sliced mushrooms that have been sauteed in olive oil and garlic
- Return to indirect heat fro another 15-20 minutes
- Combine mayo, cranberry and BBQ sauce and spread on the bottom of a squash roll
- Place finished burger on top of bottom bun, top with gravy top of squash roll
